USSVI provides a way for all submariners to gather for their mutual benefit and enjoyment. Our common heritage as Submariners shall be strengthened by camaraderie.
Why You Belong
Whether you are/were an E-2, a 4-star admiral, or anything in between, if you are QUALIFIED IN SUBMARINES and have honorably served, you belong in USSVI.
Who We Are
We are all United States Submariners! Whether currently Active, Retired, Reserve, or an Honorably discharged veteran, we all were and some still are members of the elite underseas fighting force of the United States Navy. We are all volunteers who passed stringent testing, challenging training, and we proved our mettle when we earned the coveted designation "QUALIFIED IN SUBMARINES". Whether your dolphins are gold or silver, there is no expiration date on the back of that precious pin.
American Submariner Magazine
The AMERICAN SUBMARINER is the quarterly magazine published by the US Submarine Veterans, Inc. and is a major benefit that all USSVI members receive. In fact, many members tell us that getting this magazine alone is worth the dues we paid to be a member of USSVI.
Why? Because it not only keeps you informed about our organization, it also keeps you up to date with the latest developments in the US Navy's Submarine force. It also honors the tradition, heritage, and service of all submariners, who proudly earned the designation "Qualified in Submarines" and the right to wear Dolphins, by regularly featuring articles about boats, their crews and missions conducted during past eras like World War II, Korea, Viet Nam and Desert Storm.
